It has been established that rabies is an acute infectious disease, the causative agent of which is a specific virus, which affects the central nervous system as well and negatively affects the functions of higher nervous activity. In pathogenesis, the process of encephalitis occurs, which is accompanied by a fatal disorder of the central nervous system. With the neurotropic virus of rabies in humans, there are no significant destructive changes in cells of higher nervous activity. The pathological pathogen itself has a cylindrical appearance and is a representative of the Rhabdovirus genus. The genome is represented by a single-stranded RNA molecule.
